Jacob Long initially began to develop his passion for writing at a young age by watching and analyzing superhero cartoons. Soon, he began to scribble down ideas for his favorite shows. He quickly expanded his portfolio to include comic book scripts and eventually wrote a screenplay. However, all of these works were left unpublished. In the summer of 2017, he decided that it was time to write a book and in 2018, he published, The Real World, a young adult dystopian science fiction adventure novel.

When not writing, he enjoys reading or listening to various types of books especially those with strong elements of science fiction and adventure. He can also be found working out, dabbling in all aspects film-making, and pretending to play the guit
