Lost Boy Found: A New Ending

I've written a new ending to an already-published novel.

Lost Boy Found (published as Half Moon Lake in Australia and NZ) was my first book. I did my best when I wrote it, but I listened when readers told me the ending was unsatisfying, too abrupt.

Since it was already published I didn't know what to do with this feedback, other than write back to people who complained and try to learn. I'm writing my fourth book now. The third will be published next year. And I hope I'm improving.

But recently, my US publisher (a goddess, seriously) said they wanted to put a version on KindleU. I was thrilled, of course, and asked if there was any chance - knowing what a weird and unorthodox question it was - if I could add a new ending. I explained that I thought the readers who'd contacted me were correct. She said yes, okay, I could have one page. My agent said this was astonishing turn of events: both that I had asked and that she had said yes. I'm thrilled she did.

The new ending isn't (I think) available in all regions. But for those who can access it, and who found the original ending unsatisfying, here is the link to the edition with a new, hopefully better, ending:)

If you can't open this, feel free to email me and I will send a PDF:)
