Courtney obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Services (with a minor in Psychology), from Old Dominion University in 2016. She considers herself to be both a mental health and animal advocate, with specific interest in the impacts animals have on our emotional well being. She and her husband currently reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia with their beloved pets. She has written two novels: My Endless Distraction and The Lady on Lotus Lane.
