Print proofs


Wow, making a normal looking blog-post on Goodreads is actually really hard! Uff. Anyway.. Modern London is being printed in Hong Kong! It is an interesting process, seeing your illustrations and designs turned into mass production. Most of my previous work was printed only digitally, where's the quality of print really different.


In the proofing stage, the printer sends you two separate books — one of them has all the graphics (CMYK colours) while the other one is only text (tints of black). It's up to your imagination to connect those two together in your head!

Modern New York book exhibited at Museum of Illustration

My book Modern New York: The Illustrated Story of Architecture in the Five Boroughs from 1920 to Present and illustrations are exhibited in Museum of Illustration, 128 East 63rd Street Manhattan. Many thanks to the Society of Illustrators for selecting me!

The show is on till 12 April.
