In full disclosure, becoming a literary author was not originally on my to-do or bucket list. Under my alias, Señor Estes, I spent most of my entertainment industry career writing, producing and performing various genres of music. Although I love recording songs and doing shows, my favorite part of the music process is writing lyrics. I guess that's why it felt natural for me to transition from the music realm to writing in the world of literature. For my football fans out there, it's kind of like playing cornerback in the NFL for most of your career then eventually shifting to playing safety in your latter years. I attended college but that's not worth mentioning because I dropped out and I've been fired from more jobs then I can count. But by the grace of God, (besides being blessed with my daughter) writing has always been my one true constant that I can turn to. It's my ultimate expression of celebrating happiness and my accomplishments. Writing is my most sacred therapy session to get me through moments of stress and life's devastating heartache and pain upon my consciousness. She's my impulsive, restless partner that rudely disregards the fatigue in my mind and wakes me up out of my sleep. That pisses me off sometimes, but later on when I look back and realize what we've created, I'm thankful beyond the words that have already been written. There's a lot more love than hate in our relationship lol. Anyway, as of now, I am the author of 2 books. One of which, is my debut book of poetry, "LOVE LETTERS TO REALITY (The Señor Estes Experience)" and the other is my fictional satire book entitled "DONNIE DUFFUS VS. THE PEOPLE OF MAGA-WORLD". Hopefully, I'll be on my way to another All-Inclusive resort soon, laying on a balcony and feeling the ocean breeze while drinking tequila sunrise and writing to some newly discovered inspiration.
