Kristina Neihouse moved to Key West in 1995. She’s had a story published in Key West: A collection, won The Studios of Key West 2014 Writes of Spring competition and placed 2nd in the 2018 Tennessee Williams Short Story Contest. In 2016 she was awarded an Anne McKee Artist Fund Grant to publish her first novel Knowing When to Leave.
Kristina is a full-time librarian. When not reading, writing or feeding cats, she participates in 5K runs and triathlons. She spends Saturday nights in the Monroe County Detention Center talking with female inmates about writing and other life choices. Check out www.writeonpublished.wordpress.com to read their work.

January 2021 I’m back–again.

As a comfortable introvert, 2020 was not so bad for me. I relished in the time when it was finally socially acceptable to say, “No, I won’t be leaving the house for the entire weekend, thank you.” Although I do wonder if I have swung too far and am now bordering on agoraphobia? I still leave the house to go to work, and shop on occasion so I think I’m good? This has also been time for me to settle

While I enjoyed this novel, I did not understand the point of the structure.

This was wild and wonderful. I reread the first and last pages a few times to soak it in.
