Collette is an African-American writer and avid music lover. Reading has been a passion ever since she learned to read. Writing was a passion that started in high school, where she started jotting down poetry. It has progressed over the years and blossomed into more styles of writing.

She has always been a lover of classic books but has started delving more into other literature as well. She has always dreamed of writing a book so she became a self-published author. Her poetry has all been inspired by life experiences. She has recently published a novel/memoir in August of 2020.
