Neither Preference Nor Denial
"All life is suffering. The cause of suffering is desire. To end suffering, stop desire." The Buddha
We are all struggling, although the reasons seem ludicrous. We suffer, and life becomes a problem. Just imagine a life without problems; there is no need to solve anything. Remember that you are born on a particular day and will die on a specific day. In between lies your choice.
The timeframe in between belongs to you only—not your parents, spouse, or children. It is your only time, yet you are wasting it with daydreaming, anger, and despair.
Imagine!
The earth moves around the sun at a speed of 67,000 miles per hour and spins around its axis at 1000 miles per hour.
And then you are negative because you are stuck in traffic or somebody is rude? Remember, you spend time on planet Earth in the middle of nowhere. You are on a spaceship, although large and beautiful, without the need to wear space suits or helmets. It is still a spaceship beautifully designed to allow us to move around freely without a few restrictions.
Planet Earth is about 4.5 billion years old and spinning around its axis repeatedly. But your day was difficult today. You cannot even handle one rotation. How absurd is this?
Ask yourself how you got here and where you came from. Your portal was your mother's womb, and now you are here. You do not know where you are going and when your time will end.
Find the place inside you where you are okay with this unknown. Enjoy the experience of being alive and waste no time thinking about what will happen afterward. Will there be something after death? We do not know, but if there is nothing, then you better enjoy this ride right now.
What are you searching for? There is so much here on Earth—all the beauty, sunset colors, and dramatic clouds above our heads. And more so, your hands touching the cheek of your beloved.
Are you aware of the magic that is happening right now? Where is there any problem? Life is incredible, beautiful, and exciting. Please do not waste it on pity disturbances.
Let go of any preferences.
You have come to a planet more than 4.5 billion years old. And yet, you decide you want to have the exact experiences in your mind. Nothing else—otherwise, you get angry and sad and declare that life is not worth living.
You are making up your mind about what your life should be. Your state of mind perceives the world, and yet it is just your subjective experience. Does it rain, and you forgot your umbrella? Is the highway crowded, so you are late for your appointment?
Because things are not happening the way you want them, it is the cause of your suffering. When you stop having preferences, you stop suffering. It is such a long way to walk for us, seeing ourselves having desires, wishes, and choices even in the most minor aspects of our lives.
Your list of problems is long, and the things you want to avoid happening are plentiful. But you cannot change the events unfolding on Earth; they might be fate or coincidence, but they are beyond your power. Accept them or live a miserable life.
Remember, though, that all conscious beings focus on acceptance. It is the only way to make you grow. Bring your Being into your daily experiences. Do not wish them to be different; if they could be different - they would be different.
When you allow your mind to roam freely, you go from fear to excitement, anger to love, despair to hope, and it changes like a spinning wheel without rhyme or reason.
You do not need to solve any problems. Understand that you make up your mind. You created a situation that only exists for you. When you think it is bad, it is bad. When you think it is good, it is good. Understand that every experience makes you a more prosperous human being. The defeats will help you learn about your weaknesses; the victories will show your strengths, and the humiliations will ask you for forgiveness.
"Acceptance is the very essence of Tao. The division is contrary to the nature of Tao." Lao Tzu
Do not dwell in the past. It already happened. You cannot change it, but you can respect it and learn from it. Embrace your life without wanting to change anything that happened to you. It is all good and designed for your progress, like the things in your life. It is always more fun to like things than to dislike them. Come to peace with your pain inside. Get clarity about what is unfolding in you, and enjoy the ride. Dance with it.
A true spiritual life accepts what is unfolding. Do not fight with the world and the things happening to you.
Everything comes down to Consciousness.
Consciousness is the magic power of self-awareness. You know that you are here right now. It is not something happening in your mind but a simple experience of being here without pretense or idea.
This mantra is the only thing you ever need to practice. Nothing else is required to be learned or achieved. The awareness of yourself being yourself is all there is.
I am that I am. Your foot does not know what it is, and your hand does not know what it is. But something in you knows all of this. We can call it by different names, but this is not important. When you experience that you are here, words disappear, and Consciousness appears.
Spirituality is letting go of the likes and dislikes. It is letting go of the reasons behind the preferences.
Remember that Man was created in God's image. This image does not mean God has two legs, two arms, and hair on his head. It means that Man was created in Consciousness, in the self-awareness of a Conscious Being.
Are you here, enjoying the reality unfolding in front of you? Remember that your likes and dislikes are learned through your parents and socialization. They are not real. The truth is to see your life unfolding and enjoy the ride at 67,000 miles per hour around the sun.
A Story
"An astronaut was coming back from a long time in outer space and was asked if he had seen God. He replied: "Yes, I have seen God." And they ask him how he looks. And he answers: "She is black."

THE SCULPTOR
"The Sculptor" is an enchanting story of self-discovery and destiny set in medieval Germany. The mystical tale follows Tilman, a young man who embarks on a journey to find God, himself, and love after marauding soldiers kill his family. His quest is to become a master sculptor and create the most beautiful Virgin Mary, who visits him in his dreams.
This book is one of the rare novels that can genuinely change a person's life. The esoteric novel blends magic, wisdom, and wonder to uplift your heart and soul. Tilman's adventurous and captivating odyssey is told more often poetically than in prose, with formal elegance and expressive strength.
We learn that life's hardships are stepping stones to inner bliss, and Tilman's journey transforms him into a man of remarkable depth. His story culminates in profound devotion and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of art. Although God may test us, he never breaks us.
