Seal Of The Sand Dweller: Lord Reniqer
It has proven quite a feat to reach a ripe old age in this world with a clean heart and a clear head. The surrounding corruption is so disheartening that we’re battle-worn and tempted to keep our mouths shut about everything, even things that matter.
Who could have known a productive life requires such courage and resilience? Our high ideals are at constant war with the urge to make ourselves comfortable and hide under a rock until it’s all over.
Yet, there are trailblazers among us who stand ...

Seal Of The Sand Dweller: Appipa and Aa't
They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Well, it might, depending on the apple. Each apple hits the ground differently. Some bruise early, some taste sweeter. Thank God I'm not an apple. I have a choice.
Appipa and Aa't are like two apples on the same tree, being twin born sisters of a noble house. The two take it upon themselves to seek out the king for the purpose of marriage and to end the ancient blood rival between that of King Khakheperre and their father Lord Deduamen who is ...

From My Writing Desk: Let Us Commence!
I couldn't be more excited today if I had won an award or had become a best-selling author. Such things leave me stunned and uncomfortable. The most you might get out of me is a leery sigh of relief.
But not today. I'm brimming with excitement.

After plucking, punching, and pulling on a heavy-laden plot, today, I start my final draft on book two.
I know, I know. I should be excited at the end of a book. Isn't everybody? Not me. And I accept that it may not be 'spiritually correct' to be so, ...
Seal Of The Sand Dweller: The Joseph Effect
It took me quite some time to write Seal Of The Sand Dweller. I didn’t just want to write a story about Joseph, I wanted to place him in an authentic Ancient Egyptian setting and show a plausible ripple effect of his faith and character on those surrounding him.
How did the courtiers of the king’s house view an Asiatic sand dweller who rose from slavery to such heights of power? How might their lives have been changed by Joseph and his faith in his god?
Joseph was the spoiled son of his fathe...
Seal Of the Sand Dweller: The Royal Princes
I've got a thing for palace intrigues, enough to key in on even the minor story players in Seal of the Sand Dweller.
Psalm 105: 22 further intrigued me by stating the king gave Joseph power to direct the royal princes.
Ameny, Dagi, and Neheri are three Egyptian princes in the story. We can quickly identify Prince Ameny's role as the king's elder brother who did not ascend to the throne but plans for it just the same.
Dagi and Neheri are working class princes holding royal status but with no...
Seal Of The Sand Dweller: Queen Khenemetneferhedjet
Khenemetneferhedjet. That’s nineteen letters. We'd better take it in slowly.
Khe-ne-met-ne-fer-hed-jet.
Got it?
What a name! It’s long, it's royal, it's exotic, and it’s the name of an Egyptian Twelfth Dynasty queen.

I love it!
But I'll let you off the hook and give the royal lady's shortened name. Weret.
The name, Khenemetneferhedjet, also serves as a title, meaning 'united with the white crown'. Her shorter name, Weret, means 'the elder'.
Perhaps the lady was greatly beloved, becau...
