Life's been crazy, but I have news! 👀
Hi, my wonderfuls!
With life being so hectic (who'd have thought moving homes, writing a book, and planning a kickstarter at the same time would be a bad idea???), I desperately owe you an update! So please read to the end, because I've got TONS of news to share!
Firstly...
💎The Amethysts & Alchemy Kickstarter!!!
Full disclosure: I had hoped to be launching the Kickstarter this Tuesday. But two things are keeping me from that:
1) Follower count. In order to ensure we not only only smash our funding goal but also hit EVERY single stretch goal ('cause holy SMOKES, the biggest/top stretch goal is going to blow your mind!!!) it's my goal to have 1000 followers ahead of launch. We're currently sitting at around 775. So if you haven't followed the project yet, please do! Following a project is free, does not obligate you in any way, and simply ensures you'll be notified the moment the project launches.
(And with some of the ultra-limited goodies being offered--like supporting the adorable piggy below and getting an ULTRA-LIMITED Topie figurine in the process!--believe me when I say you will NOT want to miss the first few minutes of that launch!!)
The second—and the most important—reason for the delay, is ensuring I have a proof in-hand I'm both proud of and 100% happy with. I did receive a proof of the book last week, but there were some aspects I wasn't thrilled with that I want to ensure we nail absolutely perfectly before sharing with the world. This is going to be the most stunning, complex, jaw-dropping special edition book I have ever produced. And until I'm 100% satisfied with the end result, I won't patronize or disrespect you with anything less than you deserve.
I expect the updated proof to come this week, and will share photos and an official launch date the moment it arrives.

Speaking of audiobooks, I've been listening to the Silver Blood audiobook to prep for a very special Gilded Blood short story (that will be posted to my Patreon this summer!!) and I just have to say, I LOVE Zayn's POV 😭💖 It is one of the biggest heartbreaks of my career that my favorite installment of the Gilded Blood series never really took off. That's probably on me for not marketing it right, or properly explaining that SB is not a retelling but a brand-new, full-length story that details Talia and Zayn's relationship during the two years leading up to Inked.
(It would also help if Amazon would let me list it as #0.5 in the series, but alas, they would only allow me to list it as book 1 or book 5 😑)
Anyway, I did get some news from my agent that MAYBE, POSSIBLY there might be some good news for Inked: Retold (which I love even more than Inked). I'm absolutely terrible at manifesting (seriously, every time I try to manifest something positive, I break something), so if any of you are good at manifesting, please send some positive vibes Zayn's way! It would make my heart so full to see his story in the hands of more people.
Who knows - if we've learned anything in the last couple of years, it's that pigs CAN fly! (WTG, Topes!!)

A Heartfelt Apology
Before I sign off, I wanted to address something. It has been brought to my attention that some of you are angry with me for kiIIing Matt Dinniman:
I'd like to take this opportunity to say I'm deeply sorry for falling short of your expectations, for flashing my blindingly bright book boobíes at strangers, and for unaliving Matt before he could finish DCC. So, here's the thing: I respect you and your time. I'm also not a big fan of badgering, pestering, or otherwise hocking my wares at my subscribers. If I had wanted to do that, I'd have joined Mary Kay or the Church Of Scientology*.

What I prefer to do is send out semi-monthly** emails when I have really cool updates, ridiculous stories, and/or piping hot tea to spill. Or, you know, when I want to tell you guys about monster d!cks, stuffing fish in my pants, and/or climbing inside of a filing cabinet just to be petty. Oh, yes, and the occasional heated author beef, like the dramatic culmination of the massive author spat I had with Annette Marie. I also might have recently gotten a roomful of people drunk and made them scream BUTT🐍COBRAS at the top of their lungs 👀
**Which actually means twice a month, unlike "bimonthly," which means every other month - weird, right??

My ARC team has had Fire Opals & Family for about a week now and the emails, DMs, and Discord comments I've been getting have been so overwhelmingly enthusiastic! Here's part of one of my favorite reviews:
