I am thousands of things. I'm a morally conservative, socially liberal ENFJ, though technically I'm ANFJ, but personality types have not caught up to my very specific species of ambiversion yet.

I'm a young professional, a Nebraskan, a die-hard Disney girl, a one-time marathon runner, a traveler, a Master of Public Administration,
an unpublished author, a lover, a fighter, a humorist, a listener, a big heart, a millennial, a dog lover, an unflinchingly loyal fan of Tom Hanks, and an outgoing introvert. All rolled into a 64.5 inch burrito of brown hair and Irish-German traits (mostly pertaining to the stomach and liver).

I, like so many others in my cohort of people called Millennial's (hey guys!), am passionately pursuing my dream of both b

Tootsie rolls, espresso, and martinis. In no particular order.

More seriously, I try to be gentle with myself. I try not to judge myself for being incapable of letting my words flow like butta' 100% of the time. I try to make preparations for those moments when I have to write, no matter what, or else I would burst with words. You never know when the blockage will lift, and when prose will flow like a fountain. Those are my favorite moments, so I merely try to be kind to myself when those moments are not abundant. (less)

C.S. Lewis
“The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back.”
C. S. Lewis, Till We Have Faces

Adele Myers
“You think you can count on someone,” I said, panic filling my chest. “That maybe there’s one single adult in the world you can count on, someone who won’t go off and get themselves killed or leave you so they can find a new husband or go and get some little kid’s illness. It’s not fair.” I sounded like a pouty child, but I was so upset, I couldn’t help myself. “You’re right,” David said quietly. “It’s not fair.” The way he simply agreed with me was deeply comforting.”
Adele Myers, The Tobacco Wives
