I've definitely read this before, but can't find any reference to it - perhaps I failed to record it... I did think it good the first time, but remember it took me a while to sort out the different characters. No problem with that on the return visit ...more

I loved GMB's His Bloody Project. This book does not have the multi-faceted complexity of that one, but is nonetheless an involving read - SO reminiscent of Simenon and very good at conveying the stifling atmosphere of small-town France. ...more
