Libia Brenda estudió literatura y lleva veinte años en la industria editorial. Ha trabajado para casas como el Fondo de Cultura Económica y Penguin Random House, pero como editora independiente mucha de su labor ha sido para publicaciones de literatura fantástica y de ciencia ficción, géneros que también aborda en su escritura. Como narradora, ha publicado en distintas antologías y sus cuentos se han traducido al inglés y al italiano. Actualmente trabaja en la UNAM y como freelance. Es una de las felices fundadoras del Cúmulo de Tesla. Este 2019 fue finalista en los Premios Hugo por el proyecto www.mexicanxinitiative.com: The Mexicanx Initiative Experience at Worldcon 76.
