360 Days with Henry VIII: The Beginning

Yes, I'm paying homage to Steve's "My Year With The Tudors."
https://www.openlettersmonthlyarchive...

This year I decided to write a Gothic Horror Six wives series, and if all goes well the first book will be out by May! Because Steve's own year with the Tudor's sparked my interest in his rule-- Or his wives-- It's only fair book 1 is dedicated to him. I feel so lucky to call him my friend, and I can't wait to see how the series does.

While I have a basic foundation on them all, it can't hurt to learn more as I write the series. So be prepared to see A LOT of Tudor content on my GoodReads this year!

Publishing Plans for 2022

Writing wise, I feel I've come a long way, and I'm proud of what I managed this year. I know on the surface of this account seems like I haven't busy. The truth is, I've been busy and trying to reduce my time on social media.
If you followed my YouTube channel, you'll notice I stopped posting to focus on my own mental health and I think that was the best thing I could've done for myself.
Social media was a large distraction, and my writing suffered. And truth be told, the social media atmosphere as a whole really messed with my mental health.
But now I have more time to write!
I'm hoping to get an minimum of four books out this year.
Two of them you can pre order now! The Haunting of Annie Jones and Killing Anne Boleyn.

Bye 2021

This year has been tough for most people, with a lot of ups and downs.
I haven’t been very up to date on here, and that’s something I hope to remedy in 2022.
I hope everyone had happy holidays and fingers crossed for 2022!

Exciting news!

Hi everyone! I have a few announcements to make. The first is that Gary has one chapter left to record for RFTA! So we will finish production by the end of the day. Still working on Spirits of Beckton Book #2! Right now, it's in Beta. If you would like to be a Beta reader, please let me know!
In newer writing news, I'll be releasing a fantasy serial! Those who subscribe to my newsletter will get to read it first. A chapter a week before I post it here on my blog!

Enter Castle Crom Dubh if you dare...
The rise of the blood moon can only mean one thing. The Headless Horseman requires an heir. How will he determine his successor? Just how tradition demands. Ahn bas courts. The Reapers Tournament. A tradition the Faerie courts have upheld since the dawn of time. Every two thousand years, the Dullahan's head is returned granting them entry into Tír na nÓg.
To be named heir is a great honour, but it must be earned. Failure brings great shame, but the prize is to die for. Rosheen is his first choice, but will she have what it takes? Or will shhe be doomed to pull the death cart for the victor?

Audiobook coming soon!

I am excited to tell you all that Rumours From The Attic is coming to Audible!I 'm so lucky to have such a wonderful narrator. Gary Murrell has brought my characters to life in a whole new way. I cannot sing him enough praises. We have been working together over the past few months. I knew very little about audiobooks before this journey began. I appreciated audiobooks before hand, but now that I've seen what goes on behind the scenes, I have a whole new appreciation for all the effort that goes into production.

Gary is a Native to the U.K. and has given me a lot of insight into phrases, and subtle differences. He's been so kind and polite, and gives a distinct voice to each character. Every time I recieve a new chapter, it almost feels like I'm reading RFTA for the first time.
It's not. I have read it many times before it's publication. (And yet typos still managed to slip past me, and the editor. Whoops! Rookie Mistakes!)

But that's the thing about writing. We learn by doing, and experiences. Our mistakes help us grow. You may notice some differences between the text, and the audio versions. Every week, Gary and I go over the chapters he's recorded, and we diiscuss things that together, we feel would improve the book. Gary, is much more familiar with the area than I am. And so, he always politely points out when every so often an Americanism manages to slip into the text,We've made appropriate changes. The most obvious cchange that readers may pick up on is Kevin's sport. In the ebook and paperback, Kevin plays baseball. Gary brought it to my attention that baseball is not very common in Yorkshire, and made the suggestion to switch Kevin from a baseball player, to a Cricket player.

The devil's in the details. I do not take offense to these suggestions. In fact, I invite them. I want my books to feel as authentic as possible. I'm pleased I have a narrator that is so willing to go out of his way to do that. I'm so gratful.
Keep an eye out for the Audiobook! I will give more updates as the release date approaches.
Stay well,
B.L. Koller x

An attempt to blog

I've never been very good at blogging. But Goodreads offers this as an easy way to keep you all up to date, and also let you know what I'm up to. Maybe this is much easier than I thought. What a time to start a new hobby, huh?
In all seriousness, I hope that you're doing well, and staying safe. 2020 is shaping up to be bleak, I'll try my best to add some light to these dark times.
For those who read and enjoyed Rumours From The Attic, I have exciting news! The audiobook will soon be available! And book #2 is in the works! Weird Mask is also making a comeback once things begin to settle down.
Sending lots of love your way, my dears.
