Where you'll find me
My apologies for not checking in here more often!
I do blog fairly regularly over at my page on Red Room:

Red Room is my more "literary" and general interest blog. I am also doing a regular food-and-ethnic roots blog, called Slovenian Roots Quest. Recipes included!

Back from Louisiana Book Tour (Maybe they'll adopt me!)
Just back from the closest thing I'll ever have to a "book tour" for Accordion Dreams: ten wonderful days in Louisiana.
Traveling with my fiddler husband, book events always included Cajun-Creole music. A couple of bookstore events, another big presentation at LSU. Two reviews in daily newspapers (my first ones!) The first one, in the New Orleans Times-Picayune, is here:

The second, equally nice, was in the daily paper in Lafayette:

The New Orleans review led to an invitation to come participate in my very first book festival: The Louisiana Book Festival in October.
Great times, great music, wonderful people. This may be a "niche market"--but hey, it's my niche and it's a wonderful one! I think I should just declare myself a southern writer, by way of California and the midwest :-)
