Carl Spence is the author of three novels: The Girl From Jeparit published in 2018, followed by Thomas J Greer, PI in 2019, and Aperture of the Eye in 2020. Each book is a standalone story, can be enjoyed independent of the author's other books, yet incorporate connections to the extent that together, they can be regarded as a series (currently unnamed). Much of life's joys and challenges are evident in these works of easy to read, accessible fiction, where drama mixes with humour, love mingles with loss, mystery and wonder blend with varying degrees of revelation.

As a start, trying to enjoy the process of writing, and what you are actually writing, learning along the way, and having fun, seems to make sense. There is a lot more to it, obviously, including setting time aside to write, developing important skills, and a whole lot of other things. I've found for me, if it's more fun than hard work, it helps to keep you inspired and to write more. (less)
