Jimi Rodriguez is an author from Houston, TX. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he became a teacher in his hometown. He went on to obtain a Master's Degree from Ohio University. He lives in Houston with his wife and two children.

For years, he told his students stories of the characters in From Chaos Comes Order. The characters were a work of friendship, as many major roles in the story were conceived by his friends in writing and life. Finally, he created the series From Chaos Comes Order. So many people I talk to about my book respond with, "I've always wanted to write a book!" Sometimes they tell me their great ideas for a story, and then I get to hear the reasons why they never wrote it. No time, no energy, no skill, or some other no. I say, yes! Yes, you have the time, energy, and skill. All three can be created with enough will. If you're thinking of writing a book, you have to remember one key fact. No one can write your story. Do it for the readers who didn't know they needed your book yet.(less)

I teach the young b…moreFor any type of "block" I may deal with, I handle it the same way, remembering my why. I write for an audience who needs my story. I teach the young boys who don't see themselves in literature, and certainly not in the fantasy genre. I loved the great YA books that made an impact on me like Legend, The Hunger Games, Divergent, and others. Still, I never saw myself in these books. I think JT's story is one many boys can relate to. He's misguided, but has a great heart. He gets in a lot of trouble, experiences a lot of success, and his story of maturity in a dangerous world of magic motivates me to get over any block I may be experiencing so readers can learn from his journey with me.(less)
