Born and raised in the Midwest, Jenny Lynn Lambert completed high school in San Jose, California and earned a degree in English from the University of California at Davis. Experiencing extended periods of California drought combined with frequent lapses in memory inspired her to write The Memory Visit. In addition to being a YA author, she is a high school English teacher, avid hiker, and mom to an artistic teenager and a plethora of pets.

I began to think about how that technology could apply to humans, and one thought led to another. Having a horrible memory, myself, I'm fascinated by how our brains archive and gain access to memories. The idea of a Memory Visit came from my desire to be able to relive a moment in my life that had faded or been completely lost with time. In the book, I wanted to explore the dangers of of it as well as the appeal. (less)
