AVAILABLE TO PRE - ORDER NOW!!!!!

The Comic Memoir of a Grand Plan Gone Wrong
WINNER: Readers' Favorite 5* Seal 2025
"I haven’t laughed so much at the written word since Pam Ayres released Some of Me Poetry in 1976! "Drew Johnson, Author of the Andalucian Adventures series
When COVID-19 derails their dream trip to Mongolia, Jackie, Mark, and their four dogs find themselves stranded in Blighty in an ex-army truck camper laughably over-engineered for the quaint English countryside. Undeterred, they set out to explore the hidden marvels of their homeland, and discover whether fortune really does favour the brave.
The Kindle edition is available to pre-order now, and will be released on 5th December 2025.
Here's the link:
AMAZON UNIVERSAL LINK: https://mybook.to/Manchester
Here's the info:
When Jackie and Mark bought The Beast, a vintage, six-wheel army lorry sight unseen off the internet, they planned the ultimate overland adventure to Mongolia with their four dogs. But when COVID-19 slammed shut international borders – it abruptly rerouted their dream.
Stranded in the U.K., they tackle life on the road in a home-built truck camper laughably over-engineered for the quaint English countryside. What follows is a laugh-out-loud British road trip, filled with mishaps, mechanical mayhem – and the hidden marvels of their homeland.
Blending travel tales with dogs, wit, and heart, More Manchester than Mongolia is a celebration of embracing life when it doesn’t go to plan. Perfect for fans of Bill Bryson, Tony Hawks, and Mark Wallington, this is a funny, feel-good memoir of resilience, rediscovery, and finding that sometimes, the best adventures are the ones we never intended to take.

Winner: Wishing Shelf Book Awards

Jacqueline Lambert’s story of dogs, deadlines and DIY earns global recognition in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards.
Building The Beast: How (Not) To Build An Overland Camper took the bronze award in the adult non-fiction category.
The book tells the true story of a couple and their dogs who buy an army truck and convert it into a camper van.
They bought the truck to drive overland to Mongolia and had to complete the conversion before becoming homeless.
Jacqueline Lambert said: "It's a huge honour to win an international book award."
The Wishing Shelf Book Awards is an international competition run by children's author Billy Bob Buttons, the pen name of Edward Trayer.
He said: "I want these awards to be where the large publishers go when they want to find the next bestseller.
"It is the only independent book awards judged by schools and groups of readers, and not by anonymous so-called experts.
"The winning entries are truly the stories loved by readers."
Building The Beast has also been given a Readers’ Favourite 5* seal and was a finalist in the non-fiction section of the Page Turner Book Awards.
It is available to purchase on Amazon and in other bookshops.

Review Dogs 'n' Dracula
The latest review of my award-winning Dogs 'n' Dracula: A road Trip Through Romania, here on Goodreads:
"I want to go to Romania now!
Jacqueline Lambert brings the country, the people and the dogs of Romania to life. It sounds an enchanting place. What a great adventure.
Their caravan had lots of great adventures too, including being driven along a footpath and being propped up by an apricot tin. As can be expected from Lambert, a very entertaining book."
