Nancy Demme is a retired Children's Librarian. For 27 years she has facilitated the Twin Rivers Writers' Group. She teaches ESL Writing in English to adults and is an active member of the Garden State Storytellers' League.

Her writings have been published by the Stephen F. Austin State University Press, Texas A&M, US1, Confrontations, Long Island University's Literary Magazine, The Kelsey Review, and Foliate Oak Literary Magazine.

Inspiration/Perspiration

Writing is a closed door where one must either pick the lock, or if lucky, unlock it with a key.
When opened, the door reveals all the words in one's vocabulary, and a slew of those unknown. They whirl and swirl, tumble over each other and fall.
