Mark Hehir was fortunate to live in many places, including England, Puerto Rico, Texas, and Nebraska. These experiences helped to broaden his view of the world and shape his writing creativity.

In 1996, Mark started using a wheelchair and breathing on a ventilator due to having a rare form of muscular dystrophy called Ridged Spine Syndrome disease.

Wanting to share his experiences wheelchair hiking at various parks and trails, in 2010, Mark started his Adventures from a Wheelchair blog. Here, visitors could read reviews and watch videos of all the wheelchair-accessible places Mark had visited.

Clare Steffen I have known Mark for many years, and he has a truly creative mind in every sense. His imagination is vivid which allows him to create characters that are lively and full. He also is a human being who exhibits great depth and understanding, which comes across in his writing.
