“Mama, Mama, help me get home
I'm out in the woods, I am out on my own.
I found me a werewolf, a nasty old mutt
It showed me its teeth and went straight for my gut.
Mama, Mama, help me get home
I'm out in the woods, I am out on my own.
I was stopped by a vampire, a rotting old wreck
It showed me its teeth and went straight for my neck.
Mama, Mama, put me to bed
I won't make it home, I'm already half-dead.
I met an Invalid, and fell for his art
He showed me his smile, and went straight for my heart.
-From "A Child's Walk Home," Nursery Rhymes and Folk Tales”

“I knew, in the silence that followed, that anything could happen here. It might be too late: again, I might have missed my chance. But I would at least know I tried, that I took my heart and extended my hand, whatever the outcome.
"Okay," he said. He took a breath. "What would you do, if you could do anything?"
I took a step toward him, closing the space between us. "This," I said. And then I kissed him.”

“If you stay, I'll do whatever you want. I'll quit the band, go with you to New York. But if you need me to go away, I'll do that, too. I was talking to Liz and she said maybe coming back to your old life would be too painful, that maybe it'd be easier for you to erase us. And that would suck, but I'd do it. I can lose you like that if I don't lose you today. I'll let you go. If you stay.”

Hahahaha thank you! I'm having a pretty good time racing snarkily through the series. ;-)What are some of your favorite books?

That's why I would rather see Alex die in a heroic death that alive and stuck in a relationship with selfish Lena!!!
Yeah, you can say you love Kent. We all did haha

I mean, he was there, with the phone on his hand, waiting to be her hero! He could have been, right? I mean, there's a chance she lived, there's a chance she died...haha Lauren Oliver is one of my favorite writers ever. She's pretty much the best in whatever she does. I mean, the endinds are usually tragic, but they're perfect like "I hate you, Lauren Oliver, for doing that, but I understand why you did it. The story wouldn't be half as good if you hadn't". When I finished Pandemonium, I screamed like a maniac, saying "I will get inside that book and kill him myself!!", because I didn't want him to be alive. I love him, and I'm happy he's alive, but I didn't want him to be alive, because it was complicating the story too much, and it would be too normal, too much what everyone expected - and didn't expect -, and wanted. And if Alex had actually died, his death would've been AMAZING! I mean, sacrifice is the most amazing way to show love. It's not like Romeo and Juliet, they both died but they didn't sacrifice anything. Alex sacrificed his life for Lena to live, not to die before. My point of view is weird, I know. Anyway, her writing is amazing, and her endings are incredibly awesome each time! :D

Heeeey! C: Yeah, I miss battling otp's and characters with you xD I'll be back in maturin in a couple of weeks, when college starts again. We must save a day to catch up with all the summer reading! Though honestly I haven't read much, just about 4 books in total ._.

Seriously, with Lauren Oliver, that's what you have to do, because, see, taking Pandemonium for example, the ending was so obvious, but because it was so obvious, we thought, "she won't do that, come on! It's Lauren Oliver we're talking about!" But she did it! So we'll never know what to expect from her. Her endings are amazing and mind-blowing!
Before I fall was great! I had to read the end two or three times to be sure, and to this point, I'm not sure I completely know if she died or not...
I loved how he wanted to be her hero and what she said to him. I read like very long ago, though, so I don't remember everything exactly as it happened...! But yes, it was very different from Delirium, but an amazing debut for Lauren Oliver as a YA writer!
Fari wrote: "Maria wrote: "Fari wrote: "Hey Maria, TEAM ALEX ALL THE WAY! (Alex vs Julian) XD"I hadn't seen this comment! haha Yeah, me too! :D I'm in love with me. I would marry him if I could. And Julian is..."
I don't want Alex to die, I just would rather see him dead than with Lena xD
I can't even picture them as friends. I think he's not gonna care at all and she'll be all "oh, Alex, oh Julian". I also think Julian is going to die from that cancer he has in his brain.
I think it comes out March 2nd, I'm not sure.
I can't wait for the book, either. Lauren Oliver said that it's not exactly a love triangle. She said it's complicated, so I really don't know what to expect. When it comes to her books I always say this: "Expect the unexpected, then the expected, then the unexpected, then go nuts not knowing what to expect". Did you read "Before I fall"??
Fari wrote: "Hey Maria, TEAM ALEX ALL THE WAY! (Alex vs Julian) XD"I hadn't seen this comment! haha Yeah, me too! :D I'm in love with me. I would marry him if I could. And Julian is a little too Lena-in-Delirium for my taste. I mean, he's a good character and all, but when you meet Alex, everyone else will be just...not as important, I think.
I don't want them to end up together, though. I mean, I love him and all, but I would rather see him dead than with Lena. She's not good enough for him...XD sounds mean, I know. But, seriously, I can't picture the two of them together anymore. Can you?

What are some of your favorite books?"
You're welcome! hahaha I hope you enjoy the experience of not enjoying the series! I'm only reading the last book when it comes out because, well, it's the last book and because of Dorian.
My absolute favorite book is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Horse and His Boy, and I also love the 6 others. Those are the ones I always go back to. Throne of Glass too because it gave me Dorian, and I do love that boy. The Grisha books. A Darker Shade of Magic. And I'm really, really into reading classic fairytales right now, The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen being my favorite. I also love contemporary books, like Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover, and Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.
What are some of yours?
