“Xol, the world’s sun, ascended sloping hills of grain and vegetable crops with the kind of sluggish unenthusiasm that must surely come with countless millennia of enforced repetition. Even He, in His ageless wisdom, had not the slightest knowledge of the prominence of the day He was bringing to the Kingdom of Lohr, for in truth He did not take much of an interest in the goings-on of the odd little creatures who inhabited the irrelevant blue planet he had been charged by the gods to orbit. His mind, which can only be described as infinite, was somewhat preoccupied, though with what exactly astropsychologists have yet to ascertain. As such, He was completely oblivious to the fact, as He shined dully on the wet little village, that the day He was bringing to the world would see the birth of a hero.”

He also knew a few phrases in rat, a smattering of horse, possessed a crude grasp of boar, and finally, but somewhat more dubiously, goat, of which he only knew the swear words.”
