بعد سنوات من العمل في عدة مجالات تدور كلها حول اللغة العربية وآدابها، دراسة وتدريسًا وكتابة ونقدًا، استقر رأيي على التوجه لمجال الترجمة من الإنجليزية إلى العربية، وأنا على ثقة أن خبراتي العلمية والمهنية والأكاديمية التي حصّلتها منذ تخرجي في الجامعة الأمريكية عام 1983 تهيئ لي أن أعمل في هذا المجال. وهدفي هو تقديم النصوص المكتوبة بالإنجليزية لقراء العربية بلغة تجمع بين الأمانة في النقل عن لغة النص الأصلية، أي الإنجليزية، وبين جمال اللغة المكتوب بها النص المترجم، أي العربية.
وقد أنجزت بالفعل ترجمة أربع روايات:
1."نساء صغيرات" عن رواية little Women"" للروائية الأمريكية لويزا ماي ألكوت Luisa May Alcot، وأصدرتها دار التنوير للطباعة والنشر في يناير 2019.
2. "نداء البراري" عن رواية "The Call of The Wild" للروائي الأمريكي جاك لندن Jack London، وأصدر ...more
