Bijan Moini, 1984 geboren bei Karlsruhe, ist Jurist, Politologe und Bürgerrechtler mit deutsch-iranischen Wurzeln. Nach Promotion und Referendariat in Hongkong und Berlin arbeitete er als Rechtsanwalt für eine Wirtschaftskanzlei. Als ihm die Idee zu Der Würfel kam, kündigte er und widmete sich dem Schreiben seines Romans. Heute koordiniert er die Verfassungsbeschwerden der Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte und schreibt und spricht zu gesellschaftspolitischen Themen wie Digitalisierung, Überwachung und Datenschutz. Texte von ihm erschienen u. a. auf Spiegel Online und in der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung.
