V.L. (Vanessa)Arias was born and raised in Queens, New York. As a child, she would grab her mother’s cassette recorder and pretended to have her own radio show with her dog, Dandy. At 14, she took to a composition notebook and began jotting down the idea for what would become her debut novel, The Expiration Date. Since that day, she hadn’t touched on it again until April of 2016.

Vanessa attended New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury and had the opportunity to intern for The Howard Stern Show and the E! portion of The Howard Stern Show. Becoming a Novelist

I am writing this almost two weeks after my book release and I feel different. I promise, I feel different. Even though I spent three years working on this novel, the real work begins now.
