I write short stories. I am working on my first collection and looking for a publisher or agency representation. Here are some of my stories and accolades:

'1961': published in 'Transactions of Desire' and republished in 'Best British Short Stories'.

'Three Sailors': published in a Lambda-Award nominated issue of Foglifter, longlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award and re-published in their Creative Writing Annual.

'Stars': published in The Stinging Fly, awarded Special Commendation in their annual TSF/FBA Fiction Prize.

'In The Valley': longlisted for the V.S. Pritchett Short Story Prize .

Taking stock as a writer

Since I last blogged here I have been travelling on the typical rollercoaster that is a writer's life. I was signed by an agent to work on my collection of short stories, the most exciting development in years. I then had something like ten rejections in a row.
