Nearly Christmas
I can't believe it's been so long since I last updated this blog. My New Year's resolution is to be much more frequent with my posts.
It's been a busy last couple of months. I November, I released scary a short story called "The Sting" - spooky tale for the dark winter nights.
And now I have just released my new seasonal novella, "Christmas Yet to Come." - a story of the true meaning of Christmas.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and an even happier 20201

April 2020
Goodness me, is it April already?
I have been writing a lot lately and have finished my latest book. It's the start of a trilogy, and a slight change of genre from my other novels (but maybe more in keeping with my stories in "Winter Chills").
Details of the new book to follow very soon.
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well during these difficult times of isolation. As an author working from home, much of my day to day life is unchanged but I am missing walks in the glorious Devon countryside.

Award Winning!!
It's been busy a week getting out my new novella, "Ups and Downs" (the paperback now being available alongside the ebook), so it's taken a while for the amazing news to filter through that "Winter Chills" had been awarded the Gold Book Award by Literary Titan!!
This is a time of celebration for me and my fabulous co-contributors, Derek R. King, Natalie Reeves Billing, and SJ Lomas.

Announcement
Goodness me, it has been a very bust few weeks, but I am now delighted to announce that my new novella, "Ups and Downs" is now on Amazon and the ebook can be preordered.
As well as this, I've started a literary chat podcast with fellow authors, Tessa Dansie and Manuela Sonntag. So far, we have talked about 85 Charing Cross Road, Sherlock Holmes, and Moby Dick. Last night, we recorded our latest, on "The Wonderful Wizard of OZ".
Our podcasts can be heard here at https://www.buzzsprout.com/804956
We also have a follow up chat on Twitter every Sunday at 7pm GMT (2pm EST). Please check out #SundayLitChats and join us.
In addition to publishing books and recording podcasts, I've been going through what every parent dreads: a child passing their driving test. I hardly see my own car these days, but at least it's a good excuse to stay home and write!

New work
Well, I've just finished my latest story. It's a short novella romance called "Ups and Downs". I hope to have it out very soon - watch this space!
I always find it strange to not be actively writing, but after finishing a story, I don't start anything new until the wheels of feedback and proofreading, etc. are all finished. I've never been much good at multitasking.
However, the good news is that I can get caught up on my reading! I hope to be putting up some new reviews very soon.

Happy New Year
Well, if I had a New Year's resolution, it was to start a writer's blog... and here it is!
Happy 2020!!
I'm presently writing while listening to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra's sublime New Year's concert.
I've had some lovely feedback from readers of my books over the holiday season, and it's spurred me on to get my next one finished. After the drama of "The Wild Roses" and the spookiness of "Winter Chills", it's a return to a more traditional romance.
But I have some more ideas planned out for 2020... some of them a bit of a departure.
I'm also hoping to get caught up on my reading. I've several new books on top of my To Be Read pile - I'll be posting reviews just as soon as I've read them.
Thanks for reading my first ever blog post!!
