Steve is an ex-prison officer who left the Prison Service to obtain a degree in Biosciences. He won the Oxford University Press Biosciences Award 2008. Steve is fascinated with life, nature, people and the universe, and he tries to think outside of the box.

Steve has led an interesting life. He has been told off by notorious U.K prisoner Charles Bronson, for smoking in his cell,. He has cross examined cancer genes, and grown Frankenstein pea plants. He fell into a glacial river in Switzerland, and he also fell five stories onto concrete, and is lucky to be alive.
