A tribute

We lost my Dad on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Tuesday afternoon we started the process of going through Dad's things. Found a manila packet, opened it, and hit my knees sobbing.

It was his collection of short stories and poetry he'd written back in 1994. I'd been looking for it for months now, and had been really upset that I hadn't been able to find it. I thought they were lost forever. Now, I have them.

I plan to publish the wonderful things he wrote as a tribute to him. I could care less if it sells, or not. I just want to celebrate my Dad, and I think he'd get a kick out of his words being preserved that way. He was one of my biggest cheerleaders regarding my writing. Now I get to return that support.

Being able to do this, something I'd never even realized was possible until recently, helps the hole in my heart ache a little bit less.

Changes

Hello all! As you may know by now, my publishing services company and I parted ways at the end of April. Since that time I have saddled up, gripped the reins tightly, and am galloping headlong into being 100% self-sufficient when it comes to getting my books out to readers under my own brand, 2 Of Harts Publishing.

The first novel has come out the other side of edit / proofread process more quickly than anticipated, and my FABULOUS cover designer is ahead of the curve as well. This means that the re-release of "And the Wall Came Down" will most likely be appearing on Amazon within the next three weeks.

In addition, I have a brand new website in the works; with a bit of luck I will be able to update all pertinent areas with that HTML link around the same time ATWCD is re-released!

As ever, I am appreciative of all the support, and I look forward to updating you again soon with solid dates!

Feedback on Book Keepers

The BookLife Prize 2019 had this to say about my second novel "Book Keepers"... :)

"Hart gracefully integrates threads of romance and relationship dynamics with elements of mystery and crime into her second novel in this series...By blending romance with the suspenseful hunt for a serial killer, Hart offers a unique fusion of genres in this book." - The BookLife Prize 2019.

So, this happened today :)

I got notification of the following!

Below is an excerpt of a Critics Report from Book Life Prize, and it's about my novel "And The Wall Came Down". In part, it reads:

"The majority of the plot is well thought out, spanning several decades, and seamlessly combining history with fiction."

"With multiple points of view frequently alternating person and location in the same scene, Hart writes this story line seamlessly without confusing the reader...the story is fast-paced but not rushed, with just the right amount of detail included."
