"Don’t Cry for Me" features an estranged British Princess who escapes to South America and marries a polo playing Argentinian General. She is pursued by her troubled son, who abandons his Royal duties, and the secret services. After much intrigue involving oil, a military coup and a new invasion of the Falkland Islands, the final climax on the island is both surprising and inevitable. I was inspired to write this by my interest in global politics and my extensive travel experiences for work and pleasure.
My first political thriller, "Justice" was inspired by my attendance at war crimes trials in The Hague. Watching these, I reflected on their importance for society and the toll they take on brave witnesses who confront what happened to them. This contrasts to an alternative form of justice in which survivors seek out a more direct solution to their traumas.
