I know it's early in the year, but I suspect this will be my favorite book of 2026. I loved every single character and I appreciate how Vuong finds the core of humanity in each of them. He is a brilliant writer who makes a reader feel as if they are ...more

Patricia Hi Diane,
Good to connect as friends here. I like GoodReads a lot. I don't participate in too many forums, but I love the recommendations I get by checking out what my friends are reading, and I enjoy writing reviews of books I've just read because it usually generates a few comments and that feels like a cyber book club.

In that vein, may I recommend my book to you? You can read about it on my profile here and order it from Amazon.

Hope you are well,
Patricia
