I live in a hundred-year-old farmhouse with my husband and an ever-changing number of kids, cats, dogs and bees. I've loved books for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is of my father marching me into the Alva Public Library and introducing me to the head librarian with, "Anything you could ever need to know, Mr. Thorne here can find you a book about it." I've never doubted it since.

A few of my favorite authors are Kent Haruf, Elmer Kelton, Leif Enger, Billie Letts, Kristin Hannah, Wiley Cash, Lou Berney, Lisa Wingate, and Nickolas Butler.

However, if I could ever find a book that is cross-bred True Grit and Pride and Prejudice, I'd probably stop looking for the perfect book.
