Born and raised in rural Florida, Donna Henderson has lived in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Nevada and Colorado. Nursing was her career until Chinese medicine caught her attention. Qi Gong became an oasis during busy times of her life.

Her life partner and husband, Larry supported her endeavor to follow her passion in alternative health care. All four sons are accomplished in unique fields of meteorology, helicopter patrol and rescue, neuroscience research and graphic design.

Practical techniques to living a healthy and happy life are the tips she most likes to share.

Pages turned in m…moreThe most recent book, Eye of the Beholder: Art and Wisdom to Enhance Meditation, was conceived when I woke from a dream one morning. Pages turned in my awareness, mandalas on one page and brief, powerful words on the opposite page. Some of my best ideas occur in dreams or in the waking moments. I have learned to listen to these if they feel joyful.
A friend of mine, Harimandir Khalsa, had been painting beautiful mandalas for a decade or more. She agreed to do the project together. In moments of clarity, I wrote nuggets of wisdom that went with her paintings. A couple of examples are:
"Aligned and worthy... I am... feeling free!"
"In the space of here and the time of now, what shall we create?"
The combination of our inspired art forms has been inspiring to many. May the book continue to inspire many more.(less)
