“Let us find the dam snack bar," Zoe said. "We should eat while we can."
Grover cracked a smile. "The dam snack bar?"
Zoe blinked. "Yes. What is funny?"
"Nothing," Grover said, trying to keep a straight face. "I could use some dam french fries."
Even Thalia smiled at that. "And I need to use the dam restroom."
...
I started cracking up, and Thalia and Grover joined in, while Zoe just looked at me. "I do not understand."
"I want to use the dam water fountain," Grover said.
"And..." Thalia tried to catch her breath. "I want to buy a dam t-shirt.”

“Grover was sniffing the wind, looking nervous. He fished out his acorns and threw them into the sand, then played his pipes. They rearranged themselves in a pattern that made no sense to me, but Grover looked concerned.
"That's us," he said. "Those five nuts right there."
"Which one is me?" I asked.
"The little deformed one," Zoe suggested.
"Oh, shut up.”

Emma Schouten I actually sent you a message through Camp NaNo this week. You can check it out on there, or if you prefer I can just copy it into a private message on here. And you can send me your address and I'll ask my Mom about the paypal details, I'll tell you the shipping as soon as I know =)

Emma Schouten I know, I'm supposed to get a book from the US and it was probably sent close to a month ago, and I still haven't received it. When I buy books in the UK they also take a while. But buy an iPod in the US and it gets to your house faster than you can blink.

Anyway, my mom did want you to pay the postage, and would prefer to do so via paypal if you have that. And whenever you are moved and are settle, (I know that hassle it came be) let me know, give me your address and the books are yours. =) Right now they are just gathering dust.

Now, I think another few weeks or so and I'll post the first chapter of the Rogue Lady! Excited =)

message 3: by Emma

Emma Schouten Sure, that is fine with me. Though I wasn't looking to sell them. I bought them for next to nothing at Oxfam but because they are in English I can't give them to any of my friends. But let me know =)

message 2: by Emma

Emma Schouten Well, my attention span is not much longer than yours when it comes to studying. I'll get around to it eventually, but for now I'm still procrastinating =)

If you aren't going to partake in July you can always cheer me on! =D Did you start with the editing for Flight? I started for the Rogue Lady but it's so slow I just want to give up... which is not an option, but I sure wonder why I thought it would be fun to write 60 chapters in a book. There must be something wrong with me!

Now, something that might sound slightly odd. Have you ever heard of the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks? If not, look it up. I bought all the books but I couldn't even get through the first book. I have been meaning to post an add on here hoping someone might want them. Would you be interested? Or is this too weird a thing to ask? If so, forget I ever mentioned it xD

xx Emma

I was just thinking that it isn't too long until the next NaNoWriMo - know what you're going to be writing this time?

Hi =)
I'm doing just fine, though exams are only two and a half weeks away and can't seem to get my mind focused on the studying. And how are you?
I will do Camp in July, and will be writing either the first book of the prequel series to the Rogue Lady, or the sequel. Haven't decided yet... but there is still time left =)
Will you do prepping during July or will you simply not participated at all? Do you already have any idea as to what you will do in November?
And no, I am not enjoying the summer weather. There is a lot of wind, and the rain has come back. Although there is occasionnally a summer day in the mix.
Excite about the nearing end of Game of Thrones? I can't wait!!
xx Emma
