We Like Pretty, Dark Things
INFJ personality types notoriously enjoy dark fairytales, love stories about beauty and agony that ring both honest and true. I'd like to introduce you to my favorite story in my current short story collection, Pretty Piece of Flesh.
Have you ever been treated like a pretty piece of flesh?
Have you ever looked at a stranger and thought (same)?
The truth is that we all have both aspects inside us all the time. Damaged and damager. As the saying goes, we are all villains in someone's story. And crucially, that's okay.
We can't help feeling other people's discomfort and that talent is never going away. They're not doing anything wrong feeling their feelings, and neither are we.
Insofar as it's a response to protecting ourselves and setting boundaries, though, their discomfort is really none of our business.
We should ignore it, but we won't. We can't. We'll absorb it instead, and that's where the forgiving ourselves later comes in. As well as the energy clearing practices. This awareness has the potential to change the everyday experience of our lives.
All the same, our New Moon has finally swept into Leo. Creativity abounds. Embodiment seems suddenly possible (doesn't it?) in tiny, tiny doses. So maybe we sit in our skin and be moved today. (A truly magical and valuable embodiment practice anytime.)
If you feel like reading a story about pretty and being in pieces (sometimes jagged, sometimes beautiful), you can find it here:

Because truth, beauty, magic and love are always a good idea.
