1.) Write for a purpose. You can choose to write for money or substance, or fame, but your writing will reflect your heart so choose wisely. For me, I'm writing for substance as a Christian Fiction author. 2.) You cannot assign a high enough value to working with a great editor. Editing is essential. Edit, then edit again, then edit on more time. 3.) Write something every day. Practice makes your writing better. 4.) Read the works of other author's in your genre. It helps to see how others tackle plot, scenes, pacing etc... (less)
