After a successful career in design, finance, and e-commerce, Erik Jacobs rediscovered that his true passion is writing stories that entertain and even motivate readers—through their characters, with their virtues and flaws—to have a more positive view of the world and their own mission in life.

Erik wrote Heroes of Englandom—the first book in a trilogy—eager to introduce a young gay protagonist as the hero of a YA-dystopian novel.

Erik feels at home in different countries, but he spends most of his time very close to the Pacific Ocean.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Erik Jacobs There are so many exciting fictional worlds that I couldn't just pick one, so here are a few of my fictional-world-places-to-visit:

Valley of Rivendell…moreThere are so many exciting fictional worlds that I couldn't just pick one, so here are a few of my fictional-world-places-to-visit:

Valley of Rivendell, Middle-Earth (Lord of the Rings): I would explore every corner of this magical refuge of the elves.

Hogwarts Castle (Harry Potter): besides attending several of the classes, I would definitely look forward to the mouth-watering meals in the Great Hall.

Though more a film franchise than a book, Star Wars must make this list. There are countless places I would visit, but would probably start by exploring Coruscant, the city-covered planet, capital of the galactic empire.

Little Magical Book

This short post is just a small tribute to what I consider a "little magical" book:

'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho /The Alchemist.

I first read this gem a few years ago, and, since that first encounter with Santiago's surreal world, I end up going back to his adventure at least once a year.
