Brenda Marie Webb is a self-proclaimed history nerd and a member of the Historical Novel Society. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, 2 crazy rescue dogs, and a lot of cats. I'm currently working on Holocaust survivor biography and a YA Holocaust fiction novel.

The biography is of the most charming, wonderful Holocaust survivor, I've ever met. I was paired with him last year when I was chosen to work with 20 writers from around the world to work on a Holocaust Survivor project. We each had to write an essay on our survivor and then the essays were published into a reference book for educators and students to use starting this semester. My partner asked me if I would be interested in turning his story into a book. I couldn't say "yes" quick enough!

The YA fiction novel is about an orphan deported to Auschwitz and the unlikely friendship he forms with a guard.(less)
