First, a new crime/mystery novel about a priest recovering from the affects of long term CO poisoning and memory loss who is drawn into the unsolved murder of a young parishioner at his new church assignment in a remote and isolated area of eastern Colorado. This book has a strong mental health thread, which is an issue very near and dear to my heart as a mental healthcare activist in my state.

I've also been working on my first collaborative and nonfiction project--a collection of micro essays called THE PAST TEN where people write about themselves on an exact date ten years ago, and what their past ten years have been like. It was started as an online journal by my dear friend and writer Donald Quist as a passion project, and a year ago I joined him as an assistant editor. Together, we're now working with a literary agent to develop the journal into a print anthology. (less)
