Book Review Clickworth By Author Golden November
5-Stars. K.C. Finn for Readers’ Favorite
Clickworth by Golden November is a drama set in the evolving world of Milestoneville. The story follows Click Clack, who, in 1959, forgoes a traditional career to become an actor. As he navigates the entertainment industry, he encounters an array of eccentric characters and experiences that shape his life over several decades. Through Click's journey, readers witness not only his personal evolution but also the transformation of Milestoneville itself, creating a rich tapestry of interconnected lives and shared histories. The narrative spans multiple decades, exploring themes of ambition, friendship, and the profound impact of choosing an unconventional path in life.
Author Golden November crafts dialogue that feels so authentic that I found myself completely immersed in the conversations between characters, each with their own distinct voice and personality. The world-building is exceptionally strong, with Milestoneville coming alive through carefully layered details and atmospheric descriptions that make the setting feel tangible and lived-in. What truly sets this book apart is November's ability to capture both humor and emotional depth in such succinct scenes with dialogue-only formatting, creating scenes that range from laugh-out-loud funny to deeply moving. The way the author portrays personal growth and change over time resonates with anyone who has ever pursued a dream, making even the smallest moments feel significant and meaningful. The relationships between characters also evolve as naturally as ever, revealing both the comfort and complications of long-term connections in a small town. Overall, Clickworth is a must-read for anyone who appreciates character-driven stories that celebrate the pursuit of passion and the importance of community. I recommend it to fans of the world of Milestoneville as a great new addition to the series.

Golden November's Ninety-nine Books on the Wall is driven by drama and thrills. In today's world, if you can gain followers, you're famous. In most cases, you don't need a specific talent to be famous. All that many famous people have to do is something that attracts attention and appears presentable. That is why television Channel 2000 is looking to launch a reality show in which the winner is determined by having contestants compete for the attention of fans. The casting director invites authors, poets, songwriters, and comedians to compete. We meet Sarah, Jaxson, Glenn, May, and Will. These and many other talented people want to put their talents to the test, and they must show that they deserve the opportunity. These creatives will earn points by impressing the live audience, and the more popular you are with the audience, the longer you stay on the show and the more likely you are to win. Everyone thinks they're ready to appear, but what the show has in store for them is the polar opposite of what they expected, and they'll have to dig deeper to prove they've got what it takes.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable read that I finished in one sitting. it's a story that anyone can appreciate. Golden November's wonderful ability to elicit emotion from the reader and the book's strong sense of personality and originality were the aspects that I found most appealing. In literature, imagery is effective because we are confined to experiencing the world through our five senses. This allows the reader to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste the story's setting. The author punctuates his work with images that allow the reader to visualize the setting's mental landscape. The icy landscape was one such image. As the helicopter approached the contestants, I felt a cold breeze brush across my face. Ninety-nine Books on the Wall depicts a vivid reality of the forces that propel the world of art and entertainment.

The Missing Book of Milestoneville is a work of fiction in the action and suspense subgenres and is another adventure in the Milestoneville Book Series. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author Golden November. In the usual style of this unique series and equally unique author, the work is presented in a scripted format that encompasses dialogue-driven storytelling from the characters who populate this very special town. As their adventures unfold, the scenes shift from the slopes to the beaches, the very special little bookstore, and the downtown scene where a cast of fascinating people hang out, awaiting the next sudden adventure.
It's been a while since I have delved into the mischief and mysteries of Milestoneville, but it’s always so easy to dive right back into these books and see what JBT, G, Flower Rose, and all the old favorites have been up to. As always, the storyline was easy to follow, thanks to the slick dialogue-driven script style of narrative, and I’m certain that readers of all types will find a character to identify with in this well-developed township filled with unique souls. Author Golden November’s trademark humor is back in play, but there are also some really fascinating twists in this particular adventure that will change the course of several characters’ lives and start new ideas forming. Overall, The Missing Book of Milestoneville offers just as much fun and hijinks as the previous novels in the series and is another great opportunity for readers to enjoy its larger-than-life adventure.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Milestoneville for an exciting adventure tale by spending your evening with The Missing Book of Milestoneville (Milestoneville Book Series) by Golden November. The book begins with a scene at the Auction House of Milestoneville, where a rare book goes missing. Soon, all the colorful inhabitants of Milestoneville enter the race to get their hands on the book, including Flower Rose, the owner of Milestoneville's only rare book shop, and the rare book hunters G, JBT, and their boss GN. Along the way, JBT and Heather bond while they find themselves stranded in the woods. Meanwhile, Bookmark is eager to exact revenge upon those he believes wronged him. He directs it at G and Flower Rose's brother June in a series of ill-planned events. Where will our heroes end up?
Golden November continues to add to the lore and worldbuilding of Milestoneville with more characters - both seasoned and new - and fresh slice-of-life adventures that always keep you entertained. The Missing Book of Milestoneville maintains the signature writing style of November, with interactive scenes between characters driving the narrative and carrying the bulk of the story forward. The Missing Book of Milestoneville by Golden November starts with an exclusive book auction. A helicopter arrives, but GN will not let Bookmark onboard until he reveals who owns one book. Sapphire is introduced to Buck as Cody’s girlfriend, but she is secretly after the book. Vivian inveigles her way into the house and takes the book. She gives it to Flower Rose and June, who run a book store. Heather is intrigued by JBT’s job as a “book hunter”, and they go on a date in a gyrocopter. Flower Rose hires the agency to find another missing book, and soon the chase is on for a map. Tessa is hired to help Bookmark get revenge. What will happen when the parties compare notes?
The Missing Book of Milestoneville by Golden November is clever, modern, and well suited to a young adult audience. I liked the way the text was set out like a play script. I also enjoyed looking at the pictures included at the top of each page to set the scene. My mind had to work to put the story together because there was no commentary. This was a good challenge and made reading feel like a game. I enjoyed the humor and touch of intense drama, which was compounded by the ambiguity of the interpretation. I laughed when the confusion was explained by June saying there were several missing books! I can see this book becoming a cult favorite among groups of readers.

Author Golden November 2021 Reviews
Golden November is a fiction author of action-drama books and book series.
Book Critic Reviews
"For readers unfamiliar with November's writing style, the Milestoneville books are what my family now refers to as the “book-game” because it is meant to be acted out in its entirety. There are no other instruments of direction aside from character names, what they are saying, and a photo prompt to provide a basic visual of where they might be. In this, the final installment of November's Collector's Edition, a crash course in hot air balloon flying may or may not be on the adventure menu, a show is pitched, a favorite character is engaged, another mystery tour is in the works, Click-Clack becomes the golf ball whisperer, and the antics of Milestoneville carry on with witty abandon.
Out of all the books in the Collector's Edition, Golden November's Welcome to Milestoneville is definitely my favorite. The primary reason is due to me now feeling like I know all the characters pretty intimately, which indicates the effectiveness of this means of storytelling where most would presume there is no real way to do that. The second reason is that the photographs used in this book were really good. I mean, they always are, but these are standouts. And finally, there is no way I can be anything but chuffed when a group of Ren Faire folk says things like, “Why doth the chicken cross the road?” Just kidding, sort of. Actually, with the Renaissance re-enactment troupe, the dialogue was much more thorough than usual for these stories. The use of entire paragraphs was well done and, considering the characters were ancillary, I definitely got to know them. Great fun and I'm happy to recommend it."
"Golden November’s dialogues are the highlight of the story. They are genuine to the characters. Readers familiar with the characters can listen to the dialogue with closed eyes and guess correctly which dialogue belongs to which character. As always, fabulous! Another job well done by Golden November."
"Humorous, and incredibly entertaining, every novel by Golden November is fun to read, but this one is extra special. I love how each character gets a story to tell, but it is always G and JBT who tie everything together in the end. While we do have the usual characters in the story, I love how each time Golden November allows a different character to come forward and shine. As the name of the novel suggests, you will find that there is no main character, but each of the characters mentioned in the story shares a different tale or adventure with readers.
"November style, this is a straightforward dialogue approach to storytelling. This was my first introduction to Flower Rose, a rare book aficionado, collector, and quasi-detective, who sells missing editions with her mathematics Ph.D. holding and art collecting brother, Dr. Yes. The story then turns and sprints into a hunt for a piece of literature swept into the sea, and the Milestoneville tentacles reach out into more familiar characters and their high antics, including the stalwart named Good, collectible albums, rappelling and airplane piloting, a too-good-to-be-true lottery ticket, and other twists by November."
"No Main Character: Collector's Edition by Golden November is described as a book that reads in the same way a television show or a movie would be with the volume off and the subtitles on, and that's probably the most perfect way to explain how November's books work .Even though No Main Character: Collector's Edition really does not have a main character, there are definitely standouts. For myself it is Chatsworth, the pen salesman, who is the star in my eyes. He hilariously sells the writing instruments to unsuspecting homeowners and then, as he displays the generosity of a true friend, he offers to said friend to also sell pens...in the likely event this friend named Click-clack should fail in his ambition of being a successful actor. Golden November's book isn't only for a group reading as my son pointed out. In fact, he's quite good at changing his voice as he reads through the lines and between his hysterical laughing, usually we can understand what he is saying! And we want to understand because it would be an shame to miss the part where a white-water rafting challenge has Carly shouting, “Get back, you duckers!” Fun, fun, fun! [end scene]."
"No Main Character is Golden November’s screenplay that focuses on dialogue and human interaction instead of on the characters' physical descriptions. The setting is Milestoneville and the development of Channel 1994. Opening with JBT and G jumping from an airplane, The Client calls and JBT lands a job looking for a stolen book worth $5,000,000. The duo head to Channel 1994’s Award Show. The story then transitions to pre-show interviews by Amy. JT and Pineapple are both rival contestants for the best music award. Then a third transition is to the Award Show where the host seems to have forgotten his manners. He insults Click Clack and his family on stage. Then he turns to the crowd and announces that everyone was the winner of the Worst Music Award. The remainder of the book features a cast of colorful characters and the rise of Channel 1994’s popularity. Meanwhile, JBT and G are on the hunt for a book that seems to be desired by many. No Main Character consists mainly of dialogue. The scene transitions within each chapter are indicated by the changing of the photographs heading each page. The pictures were tasteful and depicted the scene, and the conversations were like reading the subtitles of a movie in a foreign language. The names of every character didn’t seem to be the focal point that Golden November wished me to follow. At the beginning of the book, I read the introduction that this is a book to act out rather than to read. There is really no actual main character for the entirety of the book, but once I correlated the photographs at the top of every page with the dialogue, I found it was easy to understand. My favorite moment came from The Host Of Channel 1994’s Award Show. Even though he was fired for making fun of various important people, the jokes were not vulgar, and the audience found them funny. No Main Character hosts numerous themes ranging from suspense to comedy and drama. I think that the book could be converted on-screen as a soap opera. The ending is a cliffhanger that leads into the author’s next book in the series. Anyone who likes to read scripts or desires to be a screenwriter would enjoy this book."
"Author Golden November once again gives you a story filled with interesting characters that will take you on a surprising twist
The best part of November's writing style comes from sarcastic, deadpan humor. This is really brought to life when the story is being acted out and it is really, really hard to keep a straight face when reading:
-What's the crunchy stuff inside the sandwich?
- It's cucumbers, do you like it, Fred?
- His name is Charlie!
Golden November hands out another great time to be had by all if you've got the open mind to give it a shot. Recommended.:
"The Characters of Milestoneville is another great novel by Golden November."
" November gives you a style that reads like a cross between a movie script and a graphic novel.:
"What you are treated to is a diverse set of three-dimensional characters and fascinating situations where humor is one of the avenues of the plot. As you read along, you then get to choose who among the characters you find the most interesting."
"This is at-the-moment humor that is effectively funny as you take it in moderate doses. Golden November’s humor is a world in itself, as it often turns on a logical contradiction or it sometimes defies logic. What you normally accept as realities are pushed to absurd extremes. Consider the case of Chatsworth, the pen salesman who sells his product door to door. You cannot help but admire the credulity he puts into his showmanship in convincing homeowners why they need a pen. No Main Character is a brilliant read,. This, for me, is part of the wonder that makes the Milestoneville Series entertaining because it’s purely a cerebral experience Welcome to Milestoneville, like the rest of the book in the series, is a fun read, as it will make you rethink conversations and the power that lies in the simplicity of interaction November has his own way of giving a twist—a kind of plotting that is out of the box. It is the type of event that you least expect, and it sets the story arc into full force"
“It is surprising how Golden November can create a complex story with multiple characters, It shows that as long as you have powerful characters, a cohesive plot, and fantastic writing skills, the story will come out great. Chapter after chapter, writer Golden November takes readers into the characters' lives and gives an insight into their minds. I like how the author changes the tone for each character and fully embraces the characters' personalities in their dialogues. Author Golden November has such a refreshing and different narrative style.”
"The script-like formatting feels like I’m reading a transcript of the story’s events, as if Golden November and I are covertly watching the events take place together from a nearby unmarked van."
"Life of The Impersonators: Collector's Edition by Golden November takes you on another fast-paced action drama. One day, when Flower Rose and her son Eric are restocking their bookstore, Flower Rose gets an unexpected visit from her mom, Lucille, and her oldest brother, Thorpe. The last time Flower Rose saw her brother was back in seventh grade and no one knew where he was. Thorpe is the type of guy who always moves around, and his appearance is no ordinary visit. It is a visit that will make Flower Rose call in a favor from the book hunters, G and JBT. Everything has something to do with a map that will point to the buried Milestoneville gold hidden deep within the Milestoneville mountain mine. How they are going to get inside the mine is the multimillion-dollar question that sets off this book’s page-turning adventure.
Life of the Impersonators proves that a dialogue-driven narrative can provide as much fun and action as your traditional prose fiction."
"Snappy dialogue, wit, and charm make Life of the Impersonators: Collector's Edition an engaging read that is bound to delight adventure lovers. Fast-paced and filled with humor and an adventurous spirit, author Golden November's entertaining novel is a joy to read. The characters have colorful personalities that pop out of the pages and feel vibrant and full of life. G and JBT have a wonderful sense of chemistry between them that makes you root for them. I thoroughly enjoyed their dialogue and banter, laden with quick-witted humor."
"Golden November is sure to keep the Milestoneville fans happy with another easy-to-read installment of humor, hijinks, and high-octane thrills. There’s always a lot of reading between the lines with November’s writing, and in this edition that is used to install some wonderful surprise moments into the plot where you cannot predict what’s going to happen next, until one of the heroes is suddenly in dire straights. I liked Jillian very much; her lines were witty and she was exactly what the plot needed to elevate us out of what we already know about the recurring characters and add something exciting to the mix. Overall, I would always recommend any work in this series to those who enjoy Golden November’s unique style. Life of The Impersonators is a great place to start if you’re curious about Milestoneville and its many interesting inhabitants."
'Life of The Impersonators: Conversations is the second book in the Life of The Impersonators Collector's Series by Golden November. The adventures of G and JBT continue as they decide to say adieu to their business as book hunters and start a new journey. Deciding to join Channel 1994 in beloved Milestoneville, the iconic duo decide to act in a show called Book Hunters, based on their real adventures. While G and JBT look forward to acting, Bridget isn’t very happy with the idea and wants them to stop. To make matters worse, she believes G is only doing so to replace Asterick as the President of the channel. And that is not the only hurdle in the way of the show the duo is hoping to produce. Before they know it, things become even more complicated with the show, and they have to figure out a way to make Book Hunters successful.
The perfect Golden November novel that brings a fantastic slice from the lives of G and JBT. I adore the banter and light hazing between JBT and G; they are just as fantastic as they were in the last novel I read. In true November fashion, we have a whole team of new characters, and each of them is colorful enough to keep your attention focused on the witty story. Bridget is a hard hitter; she doesn’t beat around the bush and gets the job done. I love how JBT and G had their work cut out for them, and they really had to work hard to make Book Hunters a success. As always, the dialogues are crisp, the narrative is fast, the humor is dry (but hilarious), and all the characters are memorable."
"A slice-of-life adventure novel that feels like a play, Life of the Impersonators: Conversations is a breeze to go through. G and JBT continue their witty banter and carry the narrative with charm, charisma, and humor. Author Golden November doesn't miss a single beat and continues from where the previous installment left off, with G and JBT part-owners of the gold hidden beneath the old abandoned mine. This time, they venture into the world of television. A plethora of new characters joins the ensemble, but November gives each of them distinct personalities that make them stick out amongst the bunch. Despite being part of a series, Life of the Impersonators: Conversations also functions as a standalone. Recommended to adventure lovers."
"As the title of this book in The Life of the Impersonators Collector’s Series suggests, Conversations by Golden November brings back the familiar characters of Milestoneville as they engage in conversations about their everyday life. These fascinating conversations begin when JBT and G decide to explore other career avenues and take book hunting as a part-time job to try their luck at acting. This decision comes at such an opportune time, as Click Clack, the owner of Channel 1994, wants to make a television series. G doesn’t care about fame; he is simply enamored by the art of acting. Their TV series is called The Book Hunters, a welcome addition to the channel’s staple of talk shows, dramas, and reality shows, and it could well earn JBT or G the award for Best Channel 1994 actor.
If you are new to this series, it is important to note that Golden November uses a unique narrative, a style conveyed in a dialogue-driven plot complemented by photographs that represent scenes taking place. Yes, November has their own storytelling style—simple dialogues that run the whole gamut of the plot but don’t compromise the story arc. November’s simple refinement of this particular storytelling has that free-flowing feel."
"When you read a Golden November book series, get ready for an action-packed drama with unpredictable twists. Golden November novels are like watching a movie while reading the subtitles."
