Sarah Newland is an award-winning young adult fiction author and licensed veterinary technician based in coastal Virginia. Her books revolve around adventure, critical thinking skills, and friendship, and she hopes they will help to promote a love of reading and brain-active living.

When she isn't writing or working, Newland and her husband love to travel and dote upon their three fur-babies: Big Kitty, Little Kitty, and Meowse.

She's surprisingly good at pinball. Terrible at karaoke.
