I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and have lived or traveled in 40 of the 50 US states. Bucket List! I've been writing since elementary school, but in college, my aunt sent me a box of books, including Kathleen Woodiwiss' The Flame and The Flower. I caught Romance fever and never looked back. I write sweet and inspirational romances, both contemporary and historical. I'm also writing book reviews for All About Romance. My specialty is sweet and inspirational romance, of course! I'm a fan of ocean beaches, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, sea turtles and a well-written romance with a happy ending.

My WIP is Book1 in a new historical romance series called "The Lifesavers". Marcus is one of the courageous surfmen serving in the US Life-saving Service (USLSS). Posted to Plover's Point, an isolated station on Lake Superior, he risks his life in raging waters to pluck survivors from sinking ships. He longs for family, especially a woman who can share his challenging life. Phoebe is the eldest daughter in a privileged Michigan family and plans to wed a local "Lumber Baron" in the fall. When she learns that her beloved cousin has a stillborn child, Phoebe rushes to Plover's Point to support her. On the Lake Superior shore, Phoebe begins to discover her true destiny and must choose between two worlds, two lives, two men. I'm excited to begin this series that honors the brave "Warriors of the Surf", the men of the USLSS who saved thousands of lives between 1878 and 1915 when they became part of the US Coast Guard. My favorite couple is Miss Sarah Fifield and George Montagu, Duke of Cranwell, from Mary Balogh's Regency historical "Secrets of the Heart" which came out in 1988. Their story has stayed with me for many years. From their first encounter, it was clear that they were matched in temperament and love, and that love ran deep. But each made decisions that combined to rip them apart. Meeting again years later, the pain of the past continues to plague them even though their love persists. Finally, when they must face the reality of what separated them, it is their love that holds them together. There is light and laughter, sorrow and pain in their story. It's realistic and uplifting, and every time I read the book, I am once again relieved and delighted for this couple's happily-ever-after.(less)
