Candice M. Price (1981-) begin writing poetry to deal with depression, during her teen years on. Writing was also her way to make sense of people and the world.

Until recently, Candice’s poetry was kept private.Upon posting a few poems on social media, she was encouraged to get published.
A few years later, she began writing for her first book.

In the process, Candice determined that she was most creative while shedding actual tears; tears of sorrow or tears of joy, tears for herself or tears for others. Tears became a metaphor for her works. Thus, “Poetic Tears, Damp Pages” came to fruition.
