Jennifer is a coffee-infused lover of dark chocolate and all things romantic. Her dry wit and sarcasm fill the pages of whatever she’s writing because she can’t help herself. She is most often found sharing space with her family, devouring a good book, listening to music, or writing incessantly. Sometimes she manages all of these at once, which she considers a skill that sets her apart. She lives in upstate New York with her husband, three children, and their pack of hounds.

That free spirit got us into some interesting situations. There was a period where we were part of a "church" rumored to be a cult. Women and men slept in separate buildings and were 'matched' by the preacher.
We never moved into those buildings because my mom and her ‘match’ got married and started a cross-country move with the barest of possessions, in a van instead. I honestly don’t know which path was the better one based on the outcome. I have contemplated a book about that particular group and what could have been many times over the years.

This is tough...how about this?

"I struggled over the dead bodies sprawled throughout the hot sand as it cut my feet, shards embedded across my bare legs and arms to create raw, red, burning abrasions. I woke up drenched as the panic raced through my chest, clutching my side, the blood along my fingers at the angry redness I hadn't had when I went to sleep the night before." (less)

There are certain looks that I decipher well, hunger being one of them. It's a raw emotion that’s difficult to conceal and it was all over Dante's face when I located him seated across the room. He had obviously been watching me for quite some time and made no attempt to disguise the fact that he liked what he'd seen. Of course, maybe he was literally hungry or Read more of this blog post »

I really enjoyed this book. The evolution of Violet's character from the first time we meet her to the last chapter was very satisfying. The supporting characters, Frank and Harriet, were a wonderful addition that rounded out a story of heartache, fo ...more

“I leaned forward, hiding behind my glass and took a sip, almost choking when he stroked the skin visible along my spine. Surely flames had ignited and the entire room could see I was now on fire.”
Jennifer Peer, Not On Your Latte: A HOT Southern Romance

“Sitting out in that oak under a full moon, watching the fireflies, I wished for so many things. Anything seemed possible in the moonlight. Yet nothing prepared me for this.”
Jennifer Peer, Not On Your Latte: A HOT Southern Romance

“Nothing else can satiate the hunger, my craving, that need for contact, except you. At moments, I'm starving in a room full of food. None of it what I need or want.”

“I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or because you were, but because your combined flaws were arranged in a way that allowed two separate beings to hinge together.”
Lisa Kleypas, Blue-Eyed Devil

“Life is an awful, ugly place to not have a best friend.”
Sarah Dessen, Someone Like You

“I love to watch her move over me.
Face as lovely as any heavenly constellation.
As I breathe her in, intoxicating.
Her body entwined with mine,
the thing I crave
for a lifetime of I love yous
before we crash back into the wide, wide, sea.”
