Being on TV

Wow, Tuesday was exciting for us. We were on TV doing a cooking segment. We drove from Atlanta to Columbus GA to be on the Dee Armstrong Show. I thought I would get nervous, but I was mostly excited. Mom & I work diligently to be prepared & rehearsed a little. I guess we have been cooking for so long & we try to write in a very easy to understand way that it was very natural to tell Dee how to make the Red,White & Bleu Chip Dip(4th of July) & the Mixed Italian Salad (Salads). They were both a hit. The crew liked them so much that we left everything for them to have lunch.

Hopefully this will be the 1st of many, but even if it is the only one we do it was worth the trip. Thanks to Dorothy & Dee for having us down.

Newest Book: Love of Cooking: Chicken

Hey Folks,

My newest book is quickly becoming my favorite, isn't that the way it goes? I tend to cook chicken at least 4 out of 7 days of the week.

When Mom & I started gathering recipes for this book I found that I didn't have to make the same 5 recipes that I would redo week after week. We tried so many recipes that I am happy to say that I am glad that we have moved on the writing our "Beef" book. However, now that I have over 40 chicken recipes at my fingertips I am sure that I will get back to my regular "chicken nights", but now they won't always be the same old thing.

I hope that you are able to find some new favorites like I did. Chicken Ole
Dip, Chicken & Artichoke Florentine, & so many more. Download & Enjoy! http://www.amzn.com/B008JH7BF8Maggie Brooks Maggie Brooks Love of Cooking: Chicken

Love Cooking on Labor Day

Does anyone know how & when Labor Day was started?

It seems to have turned in to the symbolic end of summer. When we started to put this book together we thought Last Blast of Summer, but these are recipes to use all year long.

The Iced Brownies have become my favorite. I just made them into a cake by using a deeper pan. What a HUGE hit!

Give it a try!
