Nikolaas Liquette lives in Vancouver, Canada, but grew up in Deep Cove, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Rocky Mountains. He was raised by a single mother who named him after a Dostoevsky character (Kolja) before realising that it was short for something else (Nikolaas). His childhood was spent exploring the wilderness at a reckless age when he regularly got lost and didn't care. Nikolaas is quick to admit that he learns by 'doing', which means being wrong... a lot. Nikolaas will also say that if you nurture a willingness to be wrong--without beating yourself up about it--then whatever you 'do' learn through trial and error, well, that sticks with you a lot longer than merely being 'right'.Nikolaas Liquette lives in Vancouver, Canada, but grew up in Deep Cove, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Rocky Mountains.
