Earth Day

It’s simple. We are nature. To love her is to love ourselves. The more we feel this, the easier it becomes to fight for her. Happy Earth Day.

A poem from EVERYDAY MERMAID. A collaborative poetry art book I created with the artist, Deidre Scherer.

FOR MY GRANDSON HUCK

This was written soon after my grandson’s birth. Have you ever had so much joy suddenly come into your life that you were afraid to hold it?

Washing Hands

I am a bit OCD about hand washing. Then Covid hit. Ouch. Worse. I’suspect I am not alone. This poem is a nudge nudge wink wink to me  and all those as we slowly undo the fear and change the pattern to washing when appropriate. Poetry/Prose RSS
