This is my take on why the paranormal community will never be taken seriously.

It is no wonder the paranormal community will never be taken seriously while people purposely fake evidence for their own agenda.

For centuries, people have believed that a ghost or spirit is the soul of a person who was once living.  So let's explore the very concept of our soul and where these beliefs stem from.

Do you ever 'feel' like you are being watched? Scopaesthesia is a phenomenon when people can 'feel' if a person is staring at them. Is it an act of ESP or is our brain really good at picking up on cues?

If you have followed along over the last few years, you will know I love tarot. I wanted to write a little bit about my connection to it and how it came about. If there is anything I want you to take away from this, it is not to let people tell you can't do something just because it doesn't fit their way of doing things.

Confirmation bias is the tendency to notice and remember things that support what we already think is true, while we gloss over or quietly ignore the things that don't. Once someone believes a place is haunted, their brain starts filtering their reality through that belief.

When my Nan passed away, I was given a deck of cards she used to read. She used a typewriter and stuck the meaning to each card. They are easily over 50+ years old as well as cuttings from a New Idea article on fortune telling from the 1970's. I have written each card meaning and included some photos of the cuttings. Take a journey back to the 1970's! If anything, the ads are a bit of a laugh.

A lot of people report paranormal experiences at night when they are either falling asleep or actually asleep and feel they have been visited or even 'attacked' in a dream. Some behaviours at night can often be interpreted as paranormal, when they are also a 'parasomnia'. Is it all a part of falling asleep, or does this state allow us to become more susceptible to the other side? Let's look at some common parasomnias and how they are often tied to the paranormal.

Walking under ladders, black cats crossing your path and broken mirrors. These are just some of the common superstitions that have seemed to become a part of our normal life. Where did they really come from and what is their significance? I look at some popular superstitions and their origins.
