Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

I wanted to write an international thriller, where the protagonists use technology and drones …moreThe Nude Detective series concept came from two places. I wanted to write an international thriller, where the protagonists use technology and drones in particular. That part of the book was drafted ten years ago when personal drones were new and I thought people would want to know more about drones (as I did). The slightly risqué part of the book (the protagonist’s fairly mild sexual kink) was inspired by my fascination with social trends and how much of the world is becoming more accepting of people’s differences. I did extensive research into why some sexual preferences become stigmatized or accepted as well as the laws, psychology and history of sex. As I can't resist interesting factoids, this narrative became a backdrop for the romantic relationship between the two main characters(less)
